Zambia Postal Services Corporation (ZAMPOST), a State-Owned Enterprise mandated to provide postal, courier, logistics and financial services across the country, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Director – Postal Networks & Last Mile Delivery (1).

Type of Employment: Five (5) Years Employment Contract.

The Director – Postal Networks & Last Mile Delivery will provide strategic leadership and oversight of ZAMPOST's postal network, mail operations, and logistics and last-mile delivery services. The role will ensure the efficient, secure, reliable and cost-effective movement of mail and parcels across the Corporation's network, while driving operational excellence, service quality and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for strengthening the performance of the Corporation's regional and provincial postal network, optimizing logistics and delivery operations, ensuring compliance with applicable postal regulations and standards, and identifying opportunities for innovation, cost optimization and revenue growth.

1. Develop and implement strategies for efficient management of the Corporation's postal network, mail operations, logistics and last-mile delivery services.

2. Oversee the movement, processing, tracking and delivery of inbound and outbound mail and parcels.

3. Provide strategic leadership to the Northern and Southern Postal Networks and Logistics & Last Mile Delivery Section.

4. Ensure efficient management of postal routes, warehouses, transit mail and last-mile delivery operations.

5. Monitor operational performance and ensure achievement of service delivery, revenue and efficiency targets across the postal network.

6. Ensure compliance with applicable postal regulations, Universal Postal Union standards, policies and operational procedures.

7. Drive initiatives to improve customer experience, service quality, operational efficiency and revenue generation.

8. Oversee mail exchange operations and reconciliation with foreign postal administrations.

9. Manage relationships with third-party transporters, couriers and other logistics partners.

10. Promote cost containment, resource optimization and continuous improvement across postal and logistics operations.

11. Provide leadership, mentorship and performance management to staff within the Department.

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field.
• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum seven (7) years' relevant experience, with at least five (5) years in senior management in postal operations, logistics, supply chain, transport, distribution or a related environment.
• Demonstrable experience in managing large-scale operational networks and last-mile delivery services.
• Knowledge of Courier operations, logistics management and courier regulations.
• Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, performance management and operational improvement.
