Fleet Dispatcher - (1)

Icheetah Logtech Zambia Limited is seeking a highly organised, responsible and proactive Fleet Dispatcher to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating truck dispatch, monitoring fleet movements and ensuring the timely and efficient transportation of goods.

Overall Responsibility

• Coordinating truck dispatch and allocation to assigned trips.
• Monitoring fleet movements and ensuring timely deliveries.
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures, road safety requirements and transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating the daily dispatch and allocation of trucks to assigned trips.
• Liaising with drivers, operations staff and clients regarding trip schedules and delivery requirements.
• Monitoring vehicle movements and tracking trip progress to ensure timely deliveries.
• Ensuring drivers have the necessary trip documents and authorisations before departure.
• Maintaining accurate dispatch records, trip sheets and vehicle movement reports.
• Reporting delays, breakdowns, route deviations and other operational challenges to management.
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures, road safety requirements and transport regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Diploma in Transport and Logistics or a related field.
• Previous experience in fleet dispatching or transport operations is an added advantage.
• Good communication, coordination and record-keeping skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and work flexible hours when required.
