Job Description
Investment Clerk Back Office’s responsibility is to provide clerical and administrative support for the NAPSA’s back office investment section.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily manual records of all the NAPSA’s investments transactions in order to keep a clean investment record.
- Execute, record and reconcile all collateral transactions accurately and report on collateral transactions for decision making purposes.
- Perform bank reconciliations for NAPSA investment accounts to ensure availability and easy access of information for decision making purposes.
- Report on cash balances held on NAPSA investment accounts and track receipt of investment income and outflows for cashflow planning purposes
- Prepare bids for Government Securities and coordinate settlement of funds and securities in the authority's books.
- Ensure that all correspondences between the Authority and external financial institutions are delivered timely to meet the required value dates.
- Prepare placement instructions for financial institutions and other investee companies for investment of NAPSA funds.
- Compile and provide investment support documents to Finance on a timely basis for accounting for investment-related transactions.
- Attend to audit information requests and any other administrative tasks as may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Grade 12 Certificate with 5 ‘O’ Levels with credit or better, including Mathematics and English
- Degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, or relevant professional qualification such as ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business or CIMA Diploma
Minimum Experience Required
- Not less than 1 year of experience in provision of clerical support in Back office investment operations.
