A reputable organisation is seeking a Manager-Management Information Systems to oversee its information systems, database management, data integrity, and reporting processes.
The successful candidate will ensure the effective use, security, and reliability of organisational data to support informed decision-making and operational efficiency.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, manage and optimise SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Build and maintain automated ETL/ELT pipelines, including extraction, cleaning and loading.
- Establish data models, metadata standards and data exchange protocols.
- Ensure data quality, consistency and interoperability across systems.
- Safeguard data through access controls, security measures, backups and recovery testing.
- Support departments with information systems, troubleshooting and documentation.
- Implement data engineering tools and support digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead the team, set performance targets, develop staff and ensure operational continuity.
Minimum Qualification
- Full Grade 12 certificate minimum five (5) O levels including English and Mathematics. (Must be ZAQA Verified)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related ICT field. A relevant master's degree is an advantage. (Must be ZAQA Verified)
- Must be a Member of the ICT Association of Zambia (ICTAZ) and must hold a valid praciticing certificate.
Eight Years in information systems, database administration, data engineering, or systems development, including three (3) years at managerial level.
